Voynich MS

For those unfamiliar with the Voynich Manuscript, I recommend The Voynich Manuscript by Kennedy and Churchill (UK | US).

There's plenty of information online too; the best places to start are voynich.net and the images of the manuscript itself from Yale's Beinecke Libary.

Very briefly, the Voynich Manuscript was (re)discovered in 1912 by Wilfred Voynich.   It may be as early as the C13th but is more likely to be from the C15th or C16th.   The manuscript is a bizarre document filled with not-quite-recognisable illustrations and an unknown script.    All attempts at decipherment of the text and conclusive identification of the images have failed.

I have a theory but I'll preface it by saying that I am in no way an expert in any of the fields related to Voynich research and I present my theory here for no other reason than a bit of fun.   The great fascination of the Voynich manuscript is that we'll probably never know the truth.   That said, here's my theory...
